July 21st, 2010
With the closure of the old Loudoun County/Presidential intersection, work on the eastern ramps continues at a good pace with the goal of opening late summer. Work has also begun on the Route 7 westbound widening, with the box culvert extension complete.

Construction Update
March 19th, 2010
Now that the snow has melted, construction activity has increased. The goal is to partially open the interchange by shifting traffic onto the new bridge late April/early May. This will allow the existing signal at the Route 7/Loudoun County/Presidential intersection to be removed.

October 30th, 2009
Deck pours have begun and Loudoun County Parkway traffic has been shifted onto the temporary detour on the south side of the project. The eastern entrance to Smith Circle has been closed to traffic.

Public Invited to Information Session on Route 7 & Route 607 Interchange
January 21st, 2009

The Loudoun County Office of Capital Construction will hold a public information session about construction of the Route 7 & Route 607 (Loudoun County Parkway) interchange on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. The meeting is scheduled from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Research 1 building on the George Washington University campus, 20101 Academic Way in Ashburn. Staff will be on hand to answer questions about the project.

The interchange will also be the county’s first construction under the local road bond program approved by voters in November 2006. Construction on the project is expected to begin in early January.
